Fusions: Australian Network of Clay & Class Artists was established as the Queensland Potters Association (1968) to provide a mechanism for the sharing of information and the facilitation and promotion of professional development opportunities for all sectors of the community engaged in ceramic arts practice.
The Mission Statement driving the development of the organisation’s Strategic and Business Plans has been for Fusions to be the leading advocate for all sectors of the ceramic arts.
As a membership-driven organisation, the primary concern of its management teams (Board and Staff) has always been to provide relevant and timely programs and projects that respond to and fulfill the requirements of an ever increasing stakeholder and subscriber base whilst satisfying the targets and priorities of the infrastructure’s funding partners.
To this end, Fusions has initiated and implemented a series of core programs/projects which address the articulated needs of the sector of the arts and cultural industries that it represents. These programs and projects have been designed to:
- inform & educate;
- develop opportunities;
- provide advice & services;
- promote; and
- develop
the contribution of the ceramic (clay and glass) artist to the vitality and diversity of the broad cultural life of the community. |
