I started with a few hobby classes and workshops where I learnt the basics of ceramics.
My interest in ceramics began in 1997 when I attended a hobby class.
Over the years I went to several workshops and learned a lot through experimenting with different clays and many glaze recipes, which I still enjoy doing today.
Whether it is on the wheel for functional ware, or hand building to be more creative, I like both equally.
I enjoy exploring the possibilities with the different techniques in ceramics, different firings, in different kilns.
Some time ago I started experimenting with horsehair raku. I really like the unpredictable outcome of the horsehair technique; I am compelled to continue experimenting with it. Through using this technique each piece turns out different to another, and is always very rewarding in the end. |
