Two inter-related aspects of my ceramic practice are continued in the one studio.
First; the design and production of architectural ceramic art using the repetition of modular elements in an attempt to develop rhythm and perceived movement. This work is influenced by the second; the making of individual forms also using repetition, usually of elements in the carved surface.
In both types of work the aim is to integrate the form and surface, not only for visual presentation but also as a source of pleasure for the sense of touch.
