Jena has been making pottery for over 20years. She began her career in Melbourne in the late 70’s and in 1980 moved to Queensland where she completed her Diploma of Ceramics.
Jena spent the next 22years living in Queensland and Northern NSW where she set up a studio producing a wide range of unique homewares.
In 2002 Jena returned to Melbourne and settled in the beautiful Yarra Valley.
At her home in Warburton Jena is once again producing her distinctive range of whimsical, brightly coloured ceramics. Each piece lovingly handcrafted and individually decorated.
“Each piece balances functionality with creativity.
Everything from the quirky teapots to serving spoons, from ladles to salad servers will complement today’s cuisine and bring a carnival of colour to your table.”
“My work today reflects the environment in which I live. Surrounded by magnificent forests and watched over by the mysterious and magical Mt. Donna Buang.
The colours I use in my work are those that surround me daily, beautiful King Parrots, Rosellas and the changing colours of the mountains and sky.
Within this rich tapestry the Yarra River twists and turns and threads its way through all my creative sensibilities.”
